Highest bid before the end of the auction wins.
* A note about last-minute bidding:
If you are used to online auctions that end at an exact, given second, please
know that the KidLitPhil auctions don’t work quite that way. Each auction ends
when I post the “Auction closed” comment. I do that when my computer turns to
10pm EST, but because I have multiple auctions to close at that time (also
because I am human) it will not be precisely at 10pm EST. At any rate, the
winning bid is the high bid before the Auction Closed comment, even if the time
on your computer reads slightly after 10:00. Thanks for understanding!
Winning bidder must donate the winning bid amount to a designated charity
organization and provide a copy of the receipt within three days of
For physical items, unless otherwise noted, donor pays standard shipping within

More pics from the Massachusetts Book Awards today at the Massachusetts State House. Thank you @masscenterforbook for a lovely day. The weather was gorgeous, so my walk from South Station and back was perfect. The last image is my final stop on the Greenway where I sat for a while and fleshed out more ideas for my WIP. (Yep. Of course I had my notebook in my bag. You never know when a great idea will strike). Tagging @jyolen @heidieys
One of my favorite pics from the @masscenterforbook awards at the Massachusetts State House today. (My other pics are vertical photos so they’ll require a second post). I was honored to have #FlyingDeep recognized and glad to spend some time with #KidLit friends. #literacy

I’m thrilled to share that I’m now represented by @jmcgowanbks @bookends_literary. He wowed me from our first call. I can’t wait to see what we’ll do together. #KidLit #nonfiction
We celebrated my daughter’s birthday this weekend. She baked this delicious 3 layer cake from scratch (2 layers of chocolate, 1 red velvet, butter cream frosting) and decorated the entire thing herself. Not only is it beautiful, it’s super delicious!
I totally understand her desire to bake her own cake. Baking isn’t my personal favorite, but I frequently host elaborate dinner parties on my birthday. I love cooking for others.
The latest by @dantecusolito This one cracks me up. #STEAM #FutureEngineer

Love the new #StreetArt at @hatchstreetstudios.
In case you can’t tell... those aren’t tiles. It’s an illusion. #NewBedfordStreetArt
Love this photo of all the cousins taken by @alison.noyce last July. It was so fun having them all together. @mojomushy
I’ve spent my writing day moving between my standing desk and sitting here in the porch overlooking our vegetable garden while I still can. (I feel fall coming!) Time to get out and take a walk. #amwriting #authorlife
